MATCH PREVIEW
MAIN PREDICTION: HAD Queretaro (+1) HOME WIN

Queretaro secured a 2-0 away victory to Tijuana on Friday, with Edson Puch scoring both a penalty and a right-foot strike from just inside the area. It was their first win since another 2-0 victory at Lobos BUAP in round 2 and Luis Tena’s side have now claimed seven points in six games. They have improved their chances of avoiding the drop at the end of the season as they are currently ahead of Veracruz in the relegation rankings.
Guadalajara were beaten 2-0 by Santos Laguna at home on Saturday. Matias Almeyda’s side have now lost three games in a row and have conceded 11 goals in the league this season, with only four teams shipping more so far this term. With only four points from six games, Guadalajara will struggle to qualify for the knockout stage this season.
Both teams have produced highly inconsistent performances in the league, but Queretaro are coming off a win while Guadalajara just can’t seem to get going. With the home advantage, Queretaro will come into this contest as marginal favourites. Queretaro on the +1 market is the safest outcome here.

SECOND PREDICTION: CORRECT SCORE – 2-0

Guadalajara have conceded twice in their last three matches, while Queretaro have been defensively tight, conceding only three goals in the league this season. Given that record, a 2-0 home victory could well be on the cards.

HEAD TO HEAD
Guadalajara have won three games and notched up four goalless draws against Queretaro in recent years.
