MATCH PREVIEW

MAIN PREDICTION: HOME WIN

QPR were no match for a rampant Leeds side last weekend as they slipped to an uninspiring 2-0 defeat at Elland Road. Mark Warburton now faces the fresh challenge of digging his side out of this rut with the London side heading into this game without a win in three league games having fallen to back-to-back defeats. The hosts are, however, just two points adrift of the play-off places.

George Saville’s 32nd minute red card left Middlesbrough in the lurch as they slipped to a lacklustre 2-0 defeat at the hands of Derby last weekend. Pressure continues to grow on Jonathan Woodgate with his side travelling to London having failed to win in their last eight league games. The away side occupy the final relegation spot ahead of this clash.

This game has come at the perfect time for the hosts who are in desperate need of a victory.

SECOND PREDICTION: FIRST TEAM TO SCORE – QPR

I expect QPR to score first this weekend against a Middlesbrough side who have failed to score in their last four league games and have the worst attacking record in the division having scored just 11 goals in 15 games, even if the hosts have opened the scoring just five times this season themselves.

HEAD TO HEAD

Middlesbrough have won four of the last five league matches contested between the two sides.
