Preston's Callum Robinson, Josh Harrop and Billy Bodin are out with long-term injuries. Meanwhile, the club could also be without Ben Davies and Louis Moult.

At Swansea, Tom Carrol is doubtful with a groin strain. Defender Martin Olsson will miss the rest of the season with an Achilles tendon issue.

Suspended: None

Doubtful: Ben Davies (knock), Louis Moult (hamstring)

Injured/unavailable: Callum Robinson (hamstring); Josh Harrop, Billy Bodin (both cruciate ligament)

Preston have hit a rough patch of form of late, taking just one point from a possible 12. Since securing back-to-back wins over Nottingham Forest (1-0) and Millwall (3-2), North End have been beaten by Sheff Wednesday (1-0), Hull City and Rotherham (both 2-1) and drawn 1-1 with Aston Villa in recent weeks. The Lilywhites also lost 3-1 at home to third tier outfit Doncaster in the third round of the FA cup last time out, exiting the competition.

Swansea kicked off 2019 with an easy 4-1 win at Reading in league action, which they followed up with a 3-0 victory at Aston Villa in the third round of the FA Cup last weekend, which means they have made it to the next stage of the tournament. The Swans have now won four of their last seven in all competitions (one draw, two losses). Graham Potter’s men are 12th in the league at the moment, but the Welsh club are still seven points off the playoff places.

Preston have lost three of their last four league matches and this will no doubt be another tough league game for Alex Neil’s North End. I fancy Swansea to continue their good form with another win this weekend.

Swansea have won three of their last five away league matches, scoring the opening goal in all of those victories. Back the away side to open the scoring again here.

Swansea have won three of their last four league meetings with Preston, losing just once. Back in August, the Swans beat North End 1-0 in South Wales.
