Spanish La Liga -- Osasuna VS Villarreal

Livescore | Match Prediction & Tips| Asian Handicap Odds|Line-ups& H2H Stats

-----------------------------------

Osasuna: Four winless games ( Recent Form: W D D L D )

Osasuna continues to do surprisingly well in La Liga with just a defeat in seven league matches. However, due to their many draws, the Basques are only three points above the Spanish relegation zone. Last weekend it was again hit, with a 1-1 draw visiting Levante. "There may have been more in it, although I am satisfied with a point," said trainer Jagoba Arrasate. With her typical Basque fighting spirit, Osasuna can compete well at the highest level, but the club from Pamplona will have to win competitions quickly in order to really distance itself from the lower regions. That would have to happen on Saturday evening, because with a series of no fewer than 28 unbeaten home games in a row, the red shirts are strong in their own El Sadar. Even FC Barcelona had to settle for a 2-2 draw earlier this season.

Villarreal: Three wins in four last games ( Recent Form: D W W L W )

Villarreal barely managed to escape relegation last season, but this year the yellow shirts are among the absolute tastemakers of the Spanish royal class. Last week coach Javi Calleja played a sledgehammer blow with a 5-1 victory to Real Betis, a direct competitor in the battle for European football. 34-year-old midfielder Santi Cazorla is in his second youth and, together with center striker Gerard Moreno, forms a super duo, who have already delivered ten goals and four assists. With eighteen goals, Villarreal is the most surefire La Liga club this season. Despite the scoring urge, Villarreal, with a provisional eighth place yet, is not involved in qualifying for European football. That has everything to do with the relatively weak rear-guard, who already had eleven goals against this season. As long as you always make one more than the opponent, a moderate defense doesn't make much difference in itself, but with two defeats in three away matches it's not always the case. The rear-guard and / or midfield could therefore use a defensive quality boost, but Alberto Moreno and Bruno Soriano are still far from fit.

THE BETTING VERDICT:

After all, Villarreal is a light favorite because of its scoring drive, but don't forget that Osasuna is virtually unbeatable in-house. My opinion is Osasuna +0.25. Osasuna has a subscription to draws, while Villarreal could probably live with a point in a away game.
