MATCH PREVIEW
MAIN PREDICTION: HOME WIN
Norwich won the big game at the top in the English second division last weekend, as Daniel Farke’s side secured a massive 3-1 victory over Leeds at Elland Road, overtaking the Whites at the top in the process. The Canaries have been incredibly hard to beat in the league in recent months, losing just one, winning 11 and drawing six league game since early October. Only Sheff Utd and Leeds (both with 30) have taken more home points than Norwich (29) so far.
In contrast, Ipswich have the worst away record in the league, winning one, drawing two and losing a staggering 12 of their 15 league games on the road. Paul Lambert’s men are seemingly on their way to the third division, as the Tractor Boys are eight points adrift of safety at the foot of the table. Town go into this weekend's East Anglian derby having lost six and won only one of their last seven in the league.
Norwich will want to keep hold of top spot with a convincing victory over their rivals. The home side should be far too strong for struggling Ipswich in this one, so my money is going on the home win.
SECOND PREDICTION: HILO – HIGH
Carrow Road has seen 56 league goals in total this season, with 31 of those being scored by Norwich. I can see this derby being a high-scoring affair.
HEAD TO HEAD
Ipswich have a horrendous recent record against Norwich, failing to beat their rivals in the league since April 2009. They have lost six and drawn five since.
