----------------------------------------

Nigeria: Without scoring in two last games ( Recent Form: D W W D L )

Nigeria won the African tournament for the last time in 2013. Remarkably, in the last two editions the big football country was not among them. This year Nigeria is not one of the favorites; those are Egypt and Senegal. There is a lot to be said for this. Yet The Super Eagles are an outsider for the final win. The run-up to this tournament was by no means perfect. The final exhibition game, lost last Sunday in Dakar against Senegal (1-0) was lost. In addition, not everyone is in good shape, although it does not seem so serious that players will have to let go. The national coach of Nigeria is the German Gernot Rohr. In the last exhibition game, he played quite offensive with his team, in a sort of 3-4-3 line-up. The question is whether he will do the same at the African Cup, or whether he will fall back on the slightly more defensive standard 4-2-3-1. John Obi Mikel seems to be sure of a base in midfield. Odion Ighalo scored seven goals in the qualification and would also like to score in the coming weeks in Egypt. He is at the front with Alex Iwobi.

Burundi: Impressive form ( Recent Form: D W D D L )

Burundi is one of the lesser-known teams in this final round. Never before did the country participate in the Africa Cup. The selection is therefore not overflowing with the famous players. Saido Berahino (Stoke City) is an exception to this. He will be looked at especially for the goals. Les Hirondelles (the swallows) will mainly have to deal with the surprise. It is certainly also possible that Nigeria underestimates a team like Burundi. Not much is known about the game of Burundi, but according to the specialists the team is busy early. This is not very common among African country teams, so it is not entirely clear how seriously we should take this information. In preparation for this AC, Burundi played a draw 1-1 against Algeria in Doha. In the last exhibition game, the team lost 2-1 to Tunisia. Burundi rarely loses really well. The last time that more than one goal difference was lost was almost three years ago.

THE BETTING VERDICT:

After all, although being appreciated more than many competitors, but with the recent pale displays, do not expect a victory for "blue eagle" in the upcoming battle, especially the attack. The match is quite stalemate, on the contrary, Burundi has made recent progress while acquiring a team that is certainly very determined, believing in a beneficial outcome for them is completely grounded.
