The Montreal Impact expect to be without Ignacio Piatti and Clement Bayiha due to injury.

Toronto FC is reporting Drew Moor are questionable. The club signed forward Erickson Gallardo from Zamora FC in Venezuela.

The Montreal Impact lost by a goal for the second straight league match as they were downed 3-2 at home by Minnesota Utd last weekend. Anthony Jackson-Hamel gave Montreal the lead after just 27 seconds but Minnesota leveled things by the ninth minute. The Impact regained the lead just four minutes after that through Rudy Camacho but the visitors scored in the 45th and 47th minutes to snatch the three points. Montreal remains at 30 points after 21 league matches with nine wins, three draws and nine defeats but despite sitting in fourth, they still need to be aware of teams behind them when it comes to clinching an Eastern playoff spot. They have lost six of their past 11 league outings (four wins, a draw) and can't afford to go into a slump now.

Toronto FC's short two-match unbeaten streak in the league was snapped at win and draw last week when they were shut out 2-0 on the road by the LA Galaxy after conceding goals in the 75th and 89th minutes. They have now won just twice since mid-April with seven losses and four draws in that stretch while being shut out five times. Sitting in seventh, they are now fighting for their playoff lives in the East and will need to regroup with all of their players returning from international duty.

This is a big Canadian derby and with Jozy Altidore and Michael Bradley back from international duty for Toronto FC and the Montreal Impact finding it hard to score at home I think the visitors win it.

The Montreal Impact have scored just ten goals in nine home league games while Toronto FC has nine goals in nine away league matches. Also, the teams combined for an average of 1.5 total goals in two league meetings in Montreal last year. I think the odds of fewer than three total goals in this league match are good.

The Montreal Impact won 2-0 and 1-0 at home in league play last year with Toronto FC winning in their home league fixture 3-1.
