Livescore | Match Prediction & Tips| Asian Handicap Odds|Line-ups & H2H Stats

The Montreal Impact expect to be without Ignacio Piatti and Clement Bayiha due to injury. Also, Daniel Lovitz is on international duty along with Michael Azira.

Minnesota Utd are listing goalkeeper Bobby Shuttleworth as injured with Collin Martin and Abu Danladi as questionable and Romain Metanire on international duty.

Montreal Impact

Injured/unavailable: Bobby Shuttleworth (knee), Romain Metanire (international duty)

The Montreal Impact were edged 2-1 away against Atlanta Utd in the league last weekend after downing the Portland Timbers by the same score in midweek. Atlanta Utd took the lead after 35 minutes but Zakaria Diallo equalized for Montreal 15 minutes later. They couldn't hang on though and conceded the winning goal in the 83rd minute. The Impact has 30 points on the season after 20 league games and they are challenging for top spot in the East even though they have been outscored 31-24 in the league. They have also lost five of their last ten league matches with four wins and a draw.

Minnesota Utd drilled FC Cincinnati 7-1 at home in the league last weekend to set club-scoring and margin-of-victory records with the win also halting a three-game losing streak in the league. They remained at home where they hosted the red hot San Jose Earthquakes in midweek and came away with a 3-1 league win at the final whistle. The latest result puts Minnesota at 27 points on the season with eight wins, seven defeats and three draws in league action. They still have some work to do if they hope to nail down a playoff spot in the West and this means they need to improve on the road where they have just nine of 27 points in the league from three wins and six losses while being outscored 18-14.

The Montreal Impact rarely draws league games with just three ties in 20 league matches this season and since they are at home I feel they should be able to win a close contest.

The Montreal Impact's eight home league games have featured just 16 total goals overall this season for an average of two total goals. I think this trend will continue with two total goals at the most in this league match.

Minnesota Utd won last year's league encounter 2-0 at home and won 3-2 in Montreal in 2017 in the only other league meeting between the sides.
