Montpellier VS Monaco, tend to away sideMontpellier: Not good with penalties ( Recent Form: L W D W L )

Montpellier has not yet entertained many entertainers this season, but on the other hand, Michel Der Zakarian's team managed to win three of the four home games. Olympique Lyonnais and Olympique Nice, among others, did not take any points from the Stade de la Mosson, so that La Paillade only has to tolerate four teams in terms of the number of points won in home games. In away matches, the team from Der Zakarian performs a lot less, as did last weekend when a visit to RC Strasbourg was lost 1-0. Petar Skuletic, who was allowed to start for a change, missed a penalty just before the halftime signal and with that a big chance to give his team a point. All three penalties that Montpellier received this season have so far not been used and in two cases that actually led to a loss of points. On the other hand, no goals have been collected from penalties, but that will only be considered a mere consolation in Montpellier.

AS Monaco: Old-fashioned ( Recent Form: D L D W W )

With large victories at Olympique Nice and Stade Brestois, AS Monaco is back in the old fashioned way. On the basis of Islam Slimani and Wissam Ben Yedder, the team from Monaco scored at least three times in three of the last four games and, in addition, it is now also a lot better at the Monegasken in terms of defense. With nine points from eight games, AS Monaco is still in the right-hand row, but with a win at Montpellier, the team comes very close to the right-hand row. With a 3-5-2 system, Leonardo Jardim seems to be able to bring out the best in his players. On goal Benjamin Lecomte now has a lot less work to do because of the defending trio in front of him and in midfield there is a mix of checkers and fast guys. In the front, Slimani and Ben Yedder are now developing into public favorites of the Monegasque public and all in all, the Monegasques seem to be on their way back. Do the Monegasques finally win another away game?

After all, at home Montpellier has been strong all season, but nevertheless Der Zakarian will not be happy to hit an AS Monaco in its current form. The Monegasken have made such a big impression in their own stadium in the last few weeks that the bookmakers now regard them as the light favorite for this match and as far as I'm concerned the odds for the Monegasken are even a little too high.
