Mjondalen drew 0-0 away at Brann in their last league outing. It was a result that ensured four draws in their last four league matches and they have now drawn more league games (seven) than any other club in the Norwegian top flight this season. However, the club have only won one league game at home in 2019 and if that doesn’t change then it will surely see them involved in a relegation battle come the end of the season. Having conceded more than one goal per league match only six times so far, Mjondalen’s defensive solidity has been one of their strengths this season but with just 18 goals netted, they desperately need to score more and turn some of those draws into wins.

Odd BK followed last weekend’s 2-2 home league draw with Molde up with a 2-1 league win against Stabaek in midweek. The side sit second in the table after that result and are well on course to better last season’s ninth place finish. Torgeir Borven has been a vital part of their good campaign. With 11 goals the striker is the club’s top scorer while he has assisted on three occasions.

Having lost just one of their last four league matches (two wins, one draw), Odd BK can capitalise on Mjondalen’s indifferent home league form this season and take all three points. I’m going with an away win.

Odd BK have scored first in only one of their six away league matches this season, so it may be safest to back Mjondalen to shock the visitors early on in this one.

There have been no recent regular league meetings between these clubs since 2015.
