UEFA Europa League -- Lugano VS Malmo FF

Lugano: Has relegation concerns ( Recent Form: W D L L W )

Lugano is in heavy weather. The Swiss only had one point left in their first three Europa League games, so European wintering is a matter of course. Realistically, the black and white can no longer afford any point loss in their remaining three group duels, which is an almost impossible task with FC Copenhagen, Dynamo Kiev and of course Malmö. Even at home, things are not going smoothly for Lugano. Last season the club finished in a creditable third place in the Swiss Super League, but this season the team is in eighth place and only thirteen points from as many games, just one point above the relegation zone. Because of the poor results, trainer Fabio Celestini was able to pack his bags one and a half week ago, after which Maurizio Jacobacci was loosened at third division Bellinzona. That change of coaches had an immediate effect, as the team won 1-2 at Lucerne last weekend. However, Lugano is not nearly out of relegation concerns, so there is a chance that Jacobacci will save some players on Thursday-evening for the squatter next weekend against Basel. In addition, the game against Malmö is not played in its own Stadio di Cornaredo, but the team moves to St. Gallen, about a two-hour drive from Lugano.

Malmö: Can fully focus on the Europa League ( Recent Form: W L W W W )

Malmö managed to beat Lugano 2-1 two weeks ago in front of his own crowd, and thanks to that win he is back in the race for European wintering. The Swedish top club is certainly one point behind the front runners FC Copenhagen and Dynamo Kiev, but since those teams are facing each other on Thursday evening, it will be thrown into the top two of group B in a new victory over Lugano. Malmö can now fully focus on the remaining matches in the Europa League group stage. The blue shirts did what they had to do in the last game round of the Swedish Allsvenskan with a 0-5 win over Orebro, but could not prevent Djurgarden from taking the Swedish league title by one more point. Missing the national championship was of course a bitter pill, but with twelve wins in the last sixteen official competitions, the form is a must.

After all, as far as I am concerned, good value can be achieved through the Malmö draw no bet bet. Lugano is practically eliminated in the Europa League, and is currently probably more concerned with relegation struggles in his own country. In addition, this match is not played in the own stadium, but a short 250-kilometer drive away. The motivation clearly lies with the visitors, who once again take part in the battle for European wintering in the event of a victory.
