After being held to two consecutive league draws in which they scored a total of just one goal, Los Angeles FC bounced back with an impressive 3-0 road league victory over the Columbus Crew last weekend. Man of the match Mark-Anthony Kaye scored in the 37th minute for the visitors and they got some late insurance from Adama Diomande and Carlos Vela in the 88th and 90th minutes while goalkeeper Tyler Miller posted his second straight the clean sheet. The win gives LAFC 27 points on the season and they remain the top team in the league and the West with eight wins, three draws and just one defeat, having outscored their opponents 29-8. They are unbeaten at home with five wins and a draw in the league, with 14 goals scored and four allowed.

FC Dallas have now lost two straight league games after coming out on the wrong end of a 3-1 decision at home to the New York Red Bulls in a league game they dominated last weekend. Dallas trailed after just 12 minutes but Jesus Ferreira scored his fourth goal of the season to level the league game just before half time. The Red Bulls sealed the win with goals in the 58th and 85th minutes though. Dallas remains at 17 points on the season and are still in the thick of the playoff race in the West with their five wins, two draws and four defeats. They are on the road this week where they have two wins and three losses in league action, with eight goals for and against.

Los Angeles FC is the class of the league this season and unless they have an off-night they should take all three points against a FC Dallas team that has eight away goals in five league games.

Los Angeles FC has led at half time in six of their 12 league games and trailed just twice, and with just eight league goals against this season I expect them to strike first.

FC Dallas won 2-1 at home last season and drew 1-1 in Los Angeles in the only two league encounters between the sides.
