Los Angeles FC have listed Adrien Perez and Alejandro Guido and as questionable and Danilo Aparecido Silva as injured with several players on international duty. Also, Javi Perez is out for the season.

The Vancouver Whitecaps report Joaquin Ardaiz, Thomas Hasal, Jasser Khmiri and David Norman Jr as injured with Lass Bangoura on international duty.

Los Angeles FC lost for just the second time in the league this season when they were shut out 1-0 away by the Colorado Rapids last weekend. They remained on the road with a league game against Sporting Kansas City in midweek and left with a 5-1 win under their belt. Their first league defeat of the season came 1-0 away to the Vancouver Whitecaps in mid-April and they certainly won't take them lightly at home this weekend. Los Angeles enter this league match in first place in the league and the West with 40 points out of a possible 54 and with 22 of those points coming on home soil.

The Vancouver Whitecaps were edged 1-0 away from home by the Seattle Sounders last weekend with the home side scoring the winner deep into second-half injury time. The result means Vancouver hasn't won in the past four league matches as the loss in Seattle was preceded by three straight draws. In fact, the team has drawn five of the past seven league games (one win, one draw) and have eight league ties on the season. Because of this they have just 20 of a possible 57 points this year and sit outside of the top seven and the playoff spots in the West.

The Vancouver Whitecaps have already upset Los Angeles FC once when beating them 1-0 at home in the league back in April, so the home side will certainly be better prepared this time around. With the hosts seeking revenge and being unbeaten on their own turf in the league I expect them to take all three points.

Los Angeles FC has trailed at the break in only three of 18 league matches this year while the Vancouver Whitecaps have led in just five of 19 league matches. With the hosts being unbeaten at home, I like their chances of leading after 45 minutes.

The Vancouver Whitecaps beat Los Angeles FC 1-0 at home in the league in April. Last year's league meetings ended 2-2 in Los Angeles with Los Angeles FC also winning 2-0 away in the only three league encounters between them.
