----------------------------------------

Liverpool: Faultless in the first block ( Recent Form: W D W W W )

No team in England craves for a league title more than Liverpool. Last season The Reds ended up one point short and again Liverpool, along with Manchester City of course, is again the top favorite to win the Premier League. Not coincidentally, Liverpool (first) and Manchester City (second) also lead the Premier League after four rounds. The men of Jürgen Klopp won their first four games fairly easily and normally also have to take full advantage on Saturday afternoon when Newcastle United is the opponent at Anfield. Liverpool took twelve points by beating Norwich City (4-1), Southampton (1-2), Arsenal (3-1) and Burnley (0-3), and The Reds have now won their last thirteen league games. The last time Liverpool lost points in the Premier League was on March 3, when The Reds got no further than a scoreless draw on a visit to fellow townman Everton. Klopp still has to miss three players, although Naby Keïta is on the way back but the duel with Newcastle United seems to come too early for the African midfielder.

Newcastle United: Have already won three points at Spurs ( Recent Form: L L W D D )

Last season, Newcastle United lost 4-0 to Anfield from Liverpool and The Magpies hope it won't be another slaughter on Saturday afternoon. Steve Bruce has now been at the helm of Newcastle United for two months and the 58-year-old manager has been able to experience in recent weeks how restless it is at a club like Newcastle United. Bruce started the Premier League adventure with Newcastle United with two defeats, which caused a lot of criticism of his performance, then he won 0-1 against Tottenham Hotspur and three days later Newcastle United became Leicester City (1-1, loss after penalties) kicked out of the cup duel. Newcastle United also did not win the last match before the international break. Two weeks ago, Watford was a guest at St. James' Park and due to carelessness, The Magpies fell behind within two minutes. Eventually Newcastle United did pull a draw out of the fire by a goal from Fabian Schär, but the results are not yet in the game at The Magpies. With only one win in five games, Bruce has not yet won the confidence of the critical Newcastle supporter.

THE BETTING VERDICT:

After all, Liverpool will probably win this match. The bookmakers logically expect the same. Newcastle United is the third top 6-team with Liverpool again and The Magpies did not foolishly in the duels with Arsenal (0-1 loss) and Tottenham Hotspur (0-1 win). Bruce has a sharpened team and I do not expect Newcastle United to be played away by Liverpool. I go for the Newcastle United +2.25.

Liverpool        -        Newcastle United
