-----------------------------------

Leicester City: No final in the Carabao Cup ( Recent Form: L L W W L )

Leicester City has an eight point lead over Chelsea and would like to keep that lead intact or even increase it in the coming months. The Foxes are busy with a great season in the Premier League and hope to qualify for the Champions League of next season in two or three months. Leicester City must then end up in the top 4 of the Premier League and that must be possible. The team of Brendan Rodgers is already fourteen points ahead of Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur and Wolverhampton Wanderers, the numbers five to seven in the rankings. It must all go really well if Leicester City is going to hand over a top 4 ranking in the coming months. At Leicester City, they play their third game on Saturday afternoon in seven days. Last weekend The Foxes won Brenford 0-1 in the FA Cup and on Tuesday evening Leicester City fell 2-1 in the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup at Aston Villa. The Foxes had to take the second goal in the 93rd minute and therefore did not qualify for the final of the cup tournament. Given the relationships on the field, that was perhaps a little unjustified: at Leicester City, only James Maddison should have scored two or three goals. So no final place for Leicester City, which now only needs to focus on Champions League qualification via the Premier League.

Chelsea: Four top competitions ( Recent Form: W W L D W )

Frank Lampard is in fourth place with Chelsea in the Premier League. The Blues cannot be dissatisfied with this: Lampard has a relatively inexperienced selection at its disposal and is also fairly inexperienced as a trainer. If Lampard qualifies for the Champions League with Chelsea and may have achieved some success in the Europa League, the English manager of Chelsea should not be dissatisfied with his first season. After all, we should not forget that Chelsea is indeed a very large club in England, but The Blues is no longer able to compete with clubs such as Manchester United, Manchester City and Liverpool in terms of budget. On the pitch, Chelsea may still be able to compete with clubs like that. One thing is certain: Chelsea will only play top games in the next four games. First Saturday afternoon at the King Power Stadium the away match at Leicester City is on the program. The Blues then play on Stamford Bridge in the Premier League against Manchester United and Totenham Hotspur, after which the series with top duels ends with a home match in the Champions League against Bayern Munich.

THE BETTING VERDICT:

After all, these teams are reasonably matched on paper and the bookmakers think the same way. Leicester City has had less rest than Chelsea, but the game of The Foxes against Aston Villa appealed to me. Certainly in my own King Power Stadium I do not rule out that Leicester City will not lose to Chelsea. If it's up to me then there is great value on the Chelsea draw no bet.
