LASK: Great game in Eindhoven ( Recent Form: W D W W W )

Linzer Atletik Sport Klub Linz has been in rock solid form in recent months. In the Austrian Bundesliga, the team is already unbeaten for seven games: six wins and a draw against the die-hard title candidate Red Bull Salzburg. Last weekend there was convincingly won from Austria Wien. After thirteen games, LASK is in second place with 32 points, three less than Salzburg. The title chances of coach Valerién Ismaël's team are still considerable at the moment. In the Europa League, LASK needs a win to enforce wintering. After three group games, the team has four points. Like competitors PSV and Sporting, it beat Rosenborg, but Sporting lost in Portugal. Two weeks ago it was a small miracle that LASK left with a point from Eindhoven, because PSV missed a chance. With a win over PSV in their own stadium, LASK comes at the same level as those from Eindhoven, but with a defeat, the chances of European wintering have shrunk drastically. It will therefore also be a crucial and very exciting competition in Linz.

PSV: Must pass on the pitch ( Recent Form: W L D L D )

PSV performed very well and was thriving until mid-October: in the Eredivisie, Mark van Bommel's team kept pace with Ajax and in the Europa League the first two group matches were convincingly won. From then on things got tough: despite a cartload of possibilities, PSV got stuck in a 0-0 draw in the home game against LASK Linz and the three most recently played competition matches yielded no less than eight loss points. Because Ajax did win all those matches, PSV is already behind eight points behind the main title competitor Ajax and saw AZ passing through the rankings. In addition, Van Bommel lost his two best attackers Donyell Malen and Steven Bergwijn in October. The two are on the way back, but have not yet traveled to Austria. PSV faced suspensions in their own competition for, among others, Nick Viergever, Jorrit Hendrix and Ryan Thomas, but they are all available, just like Ibrahim Afellay. In the absence of Malen and Bergwijn, Van Bommel probably again opts for a vanguard with Cody Gakpo, Bruma and Mohammed Ihattaren, followed by Ritsu Doan.

After all, I see PSV in its current form and probably without Malen and Bergwijn not win in Austria. LASK is in a great shape and was able to hold its own in Eindhoven with a 0-0 tie. PSV, on the other hand, is still European unbeaten, so I think the chance of a draw is likely. With a double chance on LASK, I expect to have a big chance of winning this bet.
