Jung Seung-hyun was indeed missing for Antlers last weekend and should remain doubtful this week. They still miss multiple players through injury but have no new additions, and no suspensions.

Ryota Aoki is still missing for Grampus but they have no new problems reporting and no suspensions.

Suspended: None

Doubtful: Jung Seung-hyun

Injured/Unavailable: Yukitoshi Ito (knee surgery), Atsutaka Nakamura (no details), Yuma Suzuki (hamstring relapse), Shuto Yamamoto (thigh strain), Shogo Sasaki (unannounced).

Suspended: None

Doubtful: None

Injured/Unavailable: Ryota Aoki (knee injury).

Leo Silva scored a late equaliser for Antlers at Jubilo Iwata last weekend in a game that ended 1-1 but really should have been a win for Antlers. Antlers have numerous injuries and an Asian Champions League campaign to consider. Last season they prioritised the ACL in the early season and were not so concerned with league play – and they won the ACL! Later in their J1 season they were much better and rose up the table strongly near the end. I wonder if this season will be similar. The next ACL game is on Tuesday after this game, so I expect Antlers to rotate the team a little and not be giving 100% in some 50-50 challenges, perhaps.

Grampus impressed with a 4-0 win at home to Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo last weekend. They passed and controlled the ball well although, ironically, there was a touch of luck about all four goals, and one was offside! No doubt that they deserved the win, though! Their passing and movement is fast and impressive at times, but they leave space and often give the ball away when trying to pass and move too much. Players like Ryuji Izumi and Yuki Soma lack experience but are quick, skillful and give their all – it will be interesting to see them progress. While the last game they dominated Consadole, a better team will take advantage of their errors around the field. Antlers are that team.

Antlers may have one eye on the ACL but they will be strong and give 100% against the team that stand atop of J1. A draw will be the result!

Grampus are confident, and scoring goals. Antlers are experienced and good in defence when needed. The home team are also good at taking chances and jumping on errors, taking advantage of space left. I can't see a clean sheet for either team. A draw is expected, so I am giving them a goal each!

Last year in J1 each team won their home game between these two teams, in which one played in neutral ground.
