Kalmar lost 2-0 away at second-placed Djurgardens in their first league match since the break last weekend, with both goals arriving in the last three minutes of play. They have now failed to win their last five league matches (two draws, three losses) and remain dangerously close to the relegation zone as they are sitting only two points above the bottom three. The side have drawn seven of their 13 league matches (two wins, four losses) - a league high. With only ten goals scored and 14 conceded, their league games are hardly thrilling and entertaining. Their focus must now be on a rigid defence with the aim to try to use corners and free kicks to register wins.

AIK Solna have not resumed league action as well as they would have hoped. Since returning from the break, they have lost 2-0 to Norrkoping at home and drawn 0-0 with leaders Malmo on their own turf. They are still six points behind the table toppers after 14 league games and will need to find their form quickly if they are to have any hope of catching Malmo and defend their title. Away from home they are undefeated in their last three league games with two wins and a draw. As always they do tend to concede very few goals, but they also have problems scoring, with no side in the top half netting fewer than their 16 league goals.

Neither of the teams is confident when it comes to hitting the back of the net, but the reigning champions need a win after two poor results and I believe they will grind out a victory against Kalmar.

The last four league meetings between Kalmar and AIK Solna have all ended with only a single total goal being scored. I would not be surprised to see a similar scenario here.

AIK Solna have won four and lost only one of their last five league meetings with Kalmar.
