MATCH PREVIEW
MAIN PREDICTION: DRAW

JEF drew 0-0 at Tochigi SC last weekend in J2. In true JEF form they have two wins, two draws and two losses in their last six league matches and have beaten high-flying Ventforet Kofu away from home while losing their last home game 4-1. The home match before that they won 5-1. I list these results to show just how inconsistent this team is, JEF have been unpredictable for years and this is another one of those seasons.

Han Yong-tae scored two goals, with Taku Ushinohama scoring the third as Kagoshima won 3-1 at home to Tokyo Verdy last weekend in J2. After three defeats running Kagoshima broke their run and looked very good for the 1st half last weekend. The team have made it clear that they have just one aim this season – survival in J2. Like JEF they have been inconsistent but are doing enough to stay afloat. Their 15 goals scored in the league is not good enough – just three teams have worse attacks, but their 20 goals conceded only eight teams with a worse record.

Away from home Kagoshima have just one win this season (four wins at home) and, while I might have given them the win on current form, I feel JEF can pull off enough to get at least a point.

SECOND PREDICTION: HILO - HIGH

JEF have conceded 25 so far this season. Kagoshima returned to winning ways last week with a 3-1 win but have rarely kept a clean sheet and have conceded 20 goals this year. Goals expected here!

HEAD TO HEAD

These two teams have never met in the league before.
