With the yellow card he got last round, Internacional striker Rafael Sobis reached his third in this year’s Brasileiro and is now suspended.

Ceara don’t have anyone suspended, but might have a change in their line up for this match now that defensive midfielder Fabinho is back from suspension.

Suspended: Sobis

Doubtful: None

Injured/unavailable: Matheus Galdezani (knee), William Pottker (thigh), Zeca (thigh)

Injured/unavailable: Alex Amado (knee), Joao Paulo (leg), Richard (knee)

Last round Internacional rested most of their main players even though they had a derby against their main rivals Gremio. But their opponents decided to use an alternative team as well and the game ended 1-1, keeping Internacional nine points behind the leaders and making them fall one position on the table, coming to this rounds placed sixth.

Now they have a much easier game against a team that’s been fighting at the bottom half of the table but that last weekend surprised everyone when they beat the leaders Palmeiras 2-0 at home, getting further away from the relegation zone in what was only the second time they managed to keep a clean sheet in a league match this year.

Not only Ceara beat the leaders – who didn’t rest any of their main players – but they also showed a lot of quality, having control of the game during most of the time and made it clear that we can expect more from them. The problem is that far from home they do not play well and against one of the strongest hosts in the league they don’t stand a chance. That way, I expect Internacional to win this one.

In all of their previous six matches as hosts in the league this year Internacional scored first and as Ceara were the first team to score in any of their away games so far this season in the Brasileiro, there’s a great chance we will see the hosts open the score.

The last time these two played in a game against each other that ended with a three or more total goals was in 2014 and since then they already clashed four times. These two teams last season Internacional won at home and drew away.
