MATCH PREVIEW

MAIN PREDICTION: AWAY WIN

Mid-table team Sirius took a very surprising 1-0 league win last weekend when Philip Haglund scored the only goal of the game in the 89th minute against Norrkoping away from home. They have now won their last two away league games, but they have also lost their last two home league matches. Against Ostersunds the club have a lot of players on their injury list, with Robert Ahman-Persson and Jesper Arvidsson especially being missed.

Ostersunds clearly have problems on the pitch with the latest league win coming in April. Seven league games without a win (four draws, three losses) is their longest winless streak since being promoted to the top flight in 2016. They have drawn their last two league games, including a 0-0 draw at home against Goteborg last time out, but defensively they have looked in good shape recently with just one goal conceded in those two outings. Aly Keita and Ronal Mukiibi, who are away on international duty, will be missed though.

Having won their last three league meetings, Ostersunds have a good record against Sirius in recent years and with the home side having to deal with plenty of absentees the visitors will be looking to take advantage and win for the first time in eight games in the league. I predict an away win.

SECOND PREDICTION: FIRST TEAM TO SCORE - OSTERSUNDS

Sirius failed to score in their last home league game and have conceded the first goal in three of their last four home league matches. Ostersunds bagged the first goal of the game the last time they played away from home in league action. I think the visitors will break the deadlock again here.

HEAD TO HEAD

The teams have met four times in the Swedish top flight in 2017-18, with three of those ending in wins for Ostersunds.
