MATCH PREVIEW

MAIN PREDICTION: HOME WIN

Norrkoping were tipped to be at the top of the table this season. Last year, they came second and they have strengthened their squad since then. However, they have drawn five of their seven league games this season and only won once whilst losing the other, sitting in tenth place. Eight points from the first 21 on offer is not what they had hoped for at this stage of the season. Luckily for them the other teams above them have also dropped points so far, so they are only six points of the top of the table. After managing only a 0-0 draw away at Elfsborg last time out, a league win against in-form Goteborg could kick-start their season and with all players available they have a good chance of getting that win.

Goteborg are second in the standings and are playing better than they have for many years. That they are doing so well with the youngest squad in the Swedish top flight is even more impressive. The club has had financial problems for a long time and manager Poya Asbaghi has been under pressure to deliver despite having limited resources. To get 17-year-olds such as Benjamin Nygren and others to play attacking, flowing football under those circumstances is not an easy feat. Last weekend they battled from 2-1 down to beat Sirius 4-2 away from home in league action. It was their third win in four league games, having drawn the other.

In-form Goteborg should be favourites, but Norrkoping rarely lose and the visitors have a lengthy injury list. I have a feeling that Norrkoping will snatch their second league win of the season.

SECOND PREDICTION: FIRST HALF HAD - DRAW

Norrkoping have drawn their last three league games and the last two of them have been even at half time. I think we will see another first-half draw here.

HEAD TO HEAD

Norrkoping have won four of the last five league meetings against Goteborg, losing only once.
