Helsingborgs have signed former Manchester Utd goalkeeper Anders Lindegaard as they have both Kalle Joelsson and Par Hansson on the injury list.

Orebro midfielder Johan Martensson is out for the season after having hip surgery.

Helsingborgs lost 2-0 to AIK Solna in league action last weekend, in their first league loss since Henrik Larsson took charge of the team. They played decent but couldn’t quite create enough to beat in-form AIK Solna. Larsson has brought in experienced goalkeeper Anders Lindegaard and the former Manchester Utd player looked good last time out despite not being quite match fit. Striker Alhaji Gero has also been brought in from Ostersunds and he adds power and strength up front. Helsingborgs won their last home league game 1-0 against Sirius and they will look to add another league win here.

Orebro went into the league encounter against Falkenbergs on the back of three straight league defeats but they put in one of their best performances of the season and won 4-0. Filip Rogic scored a hat-trick and took his tally for the season to seven. Orebro have actually won more league games on the road (three) than at home (two) this season, but the last two away league games have been lost.

This is a league contest between two teams looking to get away from the relegation fight. A win for either team could see them move nine points clear of the drop zone. Helsingborgs look better on paper since Larsson’s reappointment and with the team playing at home they are slight favourites to win.

There have been over 2.5 total goals scored in five of Orebro’s last six away league matches and I think we may see a similar outcome here.

Helsingborgs won 1-0 away from home in June in league action.
