Livescore | Match Prediction & Tips| Asian Handicap Odds|Line-ups & H2H Stats

Helmond will welcome back the pair of Maikel Verkoelen and Bram Zwanen who sat out the last league match due to suspension.

Go Ahead Eagles may be missing up to three players, with Jeff Stans and Jeroen Veldmate touch and go.

Suspended: None

Doubtful: Odysseus Velanas (unspecified)

Injured/Unavailable: Bodi Brusselers (torn knee ligaments)

Go Ahead Eagles

Helmond were once again unable to secure any points when they travelled to Den Bosch last week. They held onto a goalless draw until the 47th minute when Stijn van Gessel scored an unfortunate own goal. Two more quick Den Bosch goals followed in the 51st and 58th minutes, with Helmond succumbing to a 3-0 defeat. It was Helmond’s 18th league loss of the season and eighth such result in a row.

Go Ahead Eagles pulled off a decent 1-0 win away at Volendam in round 28. It was Bruno Andrade who scored the winner at the half-hour mark. That was enough to secure the three points and meant the Deventer side were victorious for the 16th time this season, along with five draws and seven defeats. They are sitting in second and are trailing league leaders Twente by ten points.

Positions don’t lie at this stage of the competition, with Go Ahead Eagles far superior to hapless Helmond. I think this will be a ninth straight league loss for the hosts.

Helmond have failed to score in three of their last four league matches and have the worst attack in the Dutch second division with 24 goals. Go Ahead Eagles, in contrast, have drawn a blank in only three of their 28 league matches and have scored an average of two goals in their last six league matches. It should be a comfortable 2-0 win for the away side.

Helmond have not beaten Go Ahead Eagles in league action since March 2012, drawing three and losing four times in the process.
