Hammarby are missing goalkeeper Johan Wiland.

Sirius will be without suspended defender Tim Bjorkstrom.

Suspended: None

Doubtful: None

Suspended: Tim Bjorkstrom

Doubtful: John Junior Igbarumah (unknown); Stefano Vecchia, Robert Ahman-Persson (both knee)

Injured/unavailable: Henry Offia (international duty), Daniel Jarl (knee), John Alvbage (hand)

Hammarby are seventh after seven league games but are trailing league leaders Malmo by only three points. They have won three and lost just one of their last four league games and players such as Nikola Djurdjic and Imad Khalili, who have scored three league goals each, are showing fine form. The team beat Orebro 3-2 away from home in league action last weekend after playing very fine football for 80 minutes. They were 3-0 up by then, but two late goals for Orebro made the scoreline look more even than the contest was. Hammarby’s home form has also been good so far, with two wins and a draw in three home league games.

Sirius started the campaign brightly with two straight league wins. However, since then they have played five league games and only taken one point, finding themselves at the lower end of the table where many people predicted they would be before the season started. The side conceded after only two minutes at home against Goteborg in league action last weekend, but they managed to take the lead with two quick goals in the first half. Despite that, they lost the league match 4-2 and they have now conceded eight goals in the last two league games.

Hammarby are strong at home and full of confidence. With Sirius not only losing four and drawing one of their last five league games, but also having several players missing due to injuries they will have to come up with something incredible to get anything out of this league contest. I predict an easy win for the home side.

Hammarby’s last five league games have seen more than 2.5 total goals. Sirius have lost their last two league matches 4-2. Both teams like to go on the attack but they also have problems defending. There should be plenty of total goals.

Three of the last four league meetings have ended in draws, with Hammarby winning the other one at home last season.
