With left back Bruno Melo returning from suspension, Fortaleza will have almost their entire squad available.

Goias’ left back might change as well, as they’ve signed Alan Ruschel from Chapecoense and he’s ready to play. Midfielder Leo Sena got suspended and won’t play.

Fortaleza were heroic last weekend when they visited Santos and saw the hosts open 3-0 in the first half and managed to equalise in the final 45 minutes, getting an important point that gives coach Ze Ricardo a bit of calm to work with the players during the week, as they were coming from a home loss before the 3-3 draw.

In fact, they come from two consecutive losses at home in the league and that run helped get them closer to the relegation zone – they arrived at this round placed only four points above the bottom four –, and now will face a team that’s been struggling recently as well, as Goias’ recent run also made them start to worry and had they not beat Internacional 2-1 at home last weekend (they saw the visitors open the score), they would have the same number of points as Fortaleza.

With only one win in the eight matches they played as visitors this year in the league, Goias are one of the weakest sides when playing away from their fans, and having scored only three times in their last five away games in the league while conceding 15 goals, they are a good chance for Fortaleza to recover, so we can expect the hosts to win.

After losing 6-1 twice in three rounds as visitors, Goias kept conceding in their away matches, but fewer goals than in those two games, and now they play against a team that scored only once in their last two home games in the league. That way, it’s very likely that we will see a low score.

The last six top flight league encounters, both teams won twice, lost twice and drew twice.
