MATCH PREVIEW

MAIN PREDICTION: AWAY WIN

Jong Utrecht travelled to Roda in the last round and were again unable to win in league action, losing 2-1. They are now on a streak of 14 league games without a win, having drawn once and lost 13 times. The side have a horrible season record of three wins, six draws and 23 losses. They conceded two more goals last time out for a league worst 79 total goals against. Keelan Lebon did put the Jong side ahead after just five minutes, but Roda converted a penalty after 20 minutes and added a second goal in the 52nd minute.

Almere City have moved into sixth spot after beating Helmond fairly easily at home via a 3-0 scoreline in the last round. Ilias Alhaft scored in the 34th minute before Jerge Hoefdraad netted his first goal of the season in the 61st minute and defender Damon Mirani made it 3-0 after 87 minutes of play. The team have lost only one of their last five league matches, drawing once and winning their last three straight.

Jong Utrecht’s last league win was back in mid-December whereas Almere City have taken all nine points from their last three league outings. I’m sure they will make it four league wins in a row.

SECOND PREDICTION: CORRECT SCORE - 1-2

Five of Almere City’s seven away league wins have been secured by a one-goal margin. However, Jong Utrecht have found the back of the net in all of their last five league matches, scoring exactly one goal in four of them. I’m going for a 2-1 Almere City victory

HEAD TO HEAD

Almere City have won their last four league meetings against Jong Utrecht.
