MATCH PREVIEW
MAIN PREDICTION: DRAW
Oss failed to pose a threat against Jong PSV Eindhoven last week and lost 3-1 away from home. Ragnar Oratmangoen did put them in the lead in the 27th minute, scoring his third goal this season, but the side then conceded the equaliser in the 34th minute before Lorenzo Pique gave away a penalty, which was converted successfully. They shipped a third goal in the 60th minute. Oss have now won only one out of their last eight league games, drawing two and losing five.
Maastricht hosted Telstar last week and booked a fairly simple 2-0 win. Anthony van den Hurk was their main man as he put Maastricht ahead after only one minute played before doubling their advantage in the 61st minute. Maastricht’s seven points from their past three league games has seen them rise up to 12th place. They are coming off back-to-back league wins while their away league form has been solid with five wins, four draws and only two defeats.
Oss have struggled a bit at home lately, securing only two points from their last four home league matches. Maastricht’s away league record has been good, but their only two away losses this term have happened in their last five away league games (two wins, one draw). A draw seems likely.
SECOND PREDICTION: HILO – LOW
Maastricht have a decent defence, having conceded just over one goal on average so far. They have also scored exactly once in three of their last four away league matches. Oss have failed to score often at home, too. They have managed 14 goals in 11 home league matches, but four of them came in round one. I don't expect to see more than two goals in total here.
HEAD TO HEAD
Oss are unbeaten in their last three league meetings with Maastricht, winning two and drawing one.
