Oss went into their round 28 league fixture against leaders Twente on the back of a three-match unbeaten streak (two wins, one draw) but saw that run come to an end following a 2-0 home loss. Oss fell behind early after Hennos Asmelash put the ball into his own net four minutes into the league contest. Twente added a second goal four minutes from time. This means Oss have now lost ten league matches in total, whilst winning 12 and drawing six times.

Jong Ajax hosted Jong AZ Alkmaar last week and despite dominating the league match, they did not come out as winners with the final score a 1-1 draw. The opponents’ goalkeeper proved to be in excellent shape and the woodwork didn’t help on two occasions either. Jong Ajax surprisingly went behind in the 65th minute, but soon equalised in the 69th minute as Noa Lang scored his fifth goal of the season. The team are now unbeaten since late January, having won twice and drawn four times in league action.

Oss have lost three of their past five home league games (one win, one draw) while Jong Ajax have registered decent results of late, including one win and two draws in their last three away league matches. I think they can pull off a win here.

Oss have scored exactly one goal in five of their last six home league matches. Jong Ajax have kept a clean sheet only twice away from home in league action and have won two of their last three league victories by two goals. I do think Oss will be able to bag a goal here and predict a 3-1 win for the away side.

Jong Ajax have won their last six league meetings with Oss.
