MATCH PREVIEW

MAIN PREDICTION: AWAY WIN

Their first year in the American type flight has gone from a dream to a nightmare for FC Cincinnati with their latest league match being a 7-1 annihilation away at the hands of Minnesota Utd last weekend. The league's newcomers allowed all seven goals between the 18th and 87th minutes with four of them coming in the first half. Emmanuel Ledesma scored the lone FC Cincinnati marker in the 56th minute to make the score 4-1 but that was as close as they got. They have now lost six consecutive league matches while being outscored 24-5 and have just one win in their past 14 league games along with a draw and 12 losses. They have been outscored 42-15 this season.

The Houston Dynamo were edged 2-1 away at the New England Revolution last weekend on a last-minute goal and they then hosted the New York Red Bulls four days later with the league contest ending in a 4-0 win. They faced the Red Bulls in the midst of a five-match winless struggle in the league at four defeats and a draw in which they had been outscored to the tune of 10-2. The latest league result leaves the Dynamo with 27 points out of a possible 51 and they remain in the hunt for a playoff spot in the Western Conference. The team certainly needs to improve their play on the road as they have just one win and six defeats in the league so far.

This is a perfect chance for the Houston Dynamo to pick up three away points as they are facing the worst team in the league. I expect them to take advantage of it with a win.

SECOND PREDICTION: FIRST HALF HAD – HOUSTON DYNAMO

FC Cincinnati has led at half time in just four of 18 league games and has been behind at the interval in all of their last three league matches. I like the odds of the Houston Dynamo being in front after 45 minutes.

HEAD TO HEAD

This will be the first league meeting between the teams.
