The Columbus Crew extended their unbeaten string to nine MLSgames at four wins and five draws after playing to a 1-1 draw at home against the New York Red Bulls last weekend. Gyasi Zardes put the Crew ahead in the 26th minute with his tenth goal of the season, but the Red Bulls leveled the game in the 57th. Columbus has seven wins, three losses and six draws on the campaign for 27 points and reside in third place in the East. The Crew has eight wins, nine draws and five losses in their last 22 MLS matches with five wins, three draws and a loss at home this season.

Atlanta Utd is now unbeaten in the past two games with a draw and a win following their 1-1 away tie with New York City last weekend. Atlanta went ahead in the 48th minute via Josef Martinez's 13th goal of the season, but New York scored the equalizer with 13 minutes left on the clock. Goalkeeper Brad Guzan of Atlanta was the man if the match with nine saves. Atlanta still holds onto first place in the Eastern Conference with their 30 points from nine wins, three draws and three defeats. They also have ten wins in their last 21 MLS matches along with four losses and seven draws, with four wins, two draws and a loss on the road this season.

These are two of the top teams in the league and I'm expecting them to split the points. I will back Atlanta Utd on the +1 market here.

The Columbus Crew have trailed at half time just three times in 16 outings this year and I'm expecting them to be in front after 45 minutes.

Atlanta Utd beat the Columbus Crew 2-0 away and 3-1 at home last season, but lost on penalties at home in the playoffs. These have been the only three MLS meetings between the clubs.
