USA Major League Soccer(MLS) -- Columbus Crew  VS  Montreal Impact

Livescore | Match Prediction & Tips| Asian Handicap Odds|Line-ups & H2H Stats

The Columbus Crew will be missing Milton Valenzuela for the season while Federico Higuain, Gaston Sauro and Josh Williams are also injured. David Guzman and Jonathan Mensah are questionable. The team traded Patrick Mullins to Toronto FC for fellow forward Jordan Hamilton and also sold winger Robinho to Orlando City.

The Montreal Impact expect to be without Samuel Piette and Ignacio Piatti due to injury.

Columbus Crew

Suspended: None

Doubtful: David Guzman, Jonathan Mensah (both knee)

Injured/unavailable: Federico Higuain, Milton Valenzuela (both knee); Gaston Sauro (thigh), Josh Williams (concussion)

Montreal Impact

Suspended: None

Doubtful: None

Injured/unavailable: Samuel Piette (upper body), Ignacio Piatti (knee)

The Columbus Crew came out on the wrong end of a 1-0 decision in Orlando in the league last weekend which meant they had failed to score a goal in four of their last five league games. They then visited the Chicago Fire in midweek, they left the Windy City with a 2-2 league draw under their arms which means their five-match losing streak came to an end. The Crew has managed just one win in their past 16 league fixtures with 13 losses and two draws. They have 18 points in the league and are a longshot to make the Eastern Conference playoffs.

The Montreal Impact lost their third consecutive league match and second straight at home as they were blanked 2-0 by Toronto FC in the 401 derby last weekend. The visitors scored in the 62nd minute and added some insurance in injury time to take the points home with them. Montreal had several chances to tie the game in the second half but couldn't beat TFC goalkeeper Quentin Westberg. Montreal remains at 30 points after 22 league matches with nine wins, three draws and ten defeats. They are slowly slipping down the table in the Eastern Conference while just managing to hang on to a playoff position.

The Montreal Impact has lost seven of their past 12 league outings (four wins, a draw) and desperately need some points. With 14 points from a possible 36, they are one of the league's better away sides while the Columbus Crew has not won at home in their last five league matches (one draw, four losses). I’m going with an away win.

The Montreal Impact has scored 16 times in 12 away league games and the Columbus Crew has notched 12 goals in 12 league matches at home. The teams also combined for just one total goal in their April league meeting. This has all the earmarks of a low-scoring contest.

The Montreal Impact won 1-0 at home in the league three months ago. Each club has two wins in the past four league encounters.
