----------------------------------------

Chile: Is already assured of the quarter finals ( Recent Form: L D W W W )

For the first time in a long time, Chile is once again proud of its national football team. The country had dark times and last year even had to be absent at the World Cup, but in the Copa America after victories over Japan (4-0) and Ecuador (1-2) after just two group matches, it is already guaranteed a place in the quarterfinals. La Roja is working on a series of three victories in a row, something that had not happened for more than three years. Chile can therefore take back some gas in its last group match against Uruguay, although it needs at least a draw to secure group victory in group C. Nonetheless, national coach Reinaldo Rueda seems to be planning full rotation. No fewer than five players, including Arturo Vidal, are on the alert and should miss the quarter-finals in a yellow print against Uruguay. In addition, Alexis Sanchez, who has been completely revived, is still bothered by his ankle, so he might also get a shred night. Who will kick off against Uruguay is watching coffee, but count on various reserves to make their appearance.

Uruguay: Is virtually in the quarterfinals ( Recent Form: W W W W D )

After a blistering 4-0 win over Ecuador, Uruguay did not get any further than a 2-2 draw in its second group match against Japan. Disappointing, especially because Japan has traveled to South America with a very young and very inexperienced selection. Nevertheless, thanks to this result, Uruguay is already virtually in the quarterfinals, because only in the event of a major defeat against Chile and a monstrous victory from Japan in Ecuador could La Celeste possibly go wrong. That scenario is of course almost unthinkable, and even then Uruguay will most likely be among the best numbers three in the final eight of the tournament. Together with Chile, Uruguay can therefore compete for the group win, in order to avoid the strong Colombia in the eighth finals and to compete against the best number three in group A or B, probably Peru. However, the same applies to Uruguay as to Chile, because national team coach Oscar Tabarez is also likely to rotate. Jose Maria Gimenez and Nicolas Lodeiro are on the alert, while Luis Suarez and Matias Vecino suffer from minor aches and pains. So there is a good chance that this quartet will stay sideways against Chile.

THE BETTING VERDICT:

After all, currently the two teams have a difference but not too large, so they will still enter a cautious campaign with the goal of ensuring safety before thinking about finding a goal. Furthermore, the two teams' playing style is also a defensive counter-attack, the draw result can also help the 2 team fans to be satisfied.
