USA Major League Soccer(MLS) -- Chicago Fire  VS  Philadelphia Union

Livescore | Match Prediction & Tips| Asian Handicap Odds|Line-ups & H2H Stats

The Chicago Fire is expecting to be without Luis Solignac, Djordje Mihailovic, Michael de Leeuw and Matt Polster with Kevin Ellis, Daniel Johnson, goalkeeper Patrick McLain and Drew Conner being questionable.

The Philadelphia Union lists Richie Marquez and Josh Yaro as being injured.

Chicago Fire

Suspended: None

Doubtful: Patrick McLain (thigh), Drew Conner (calf), Kevin Ellis (hamstring), Daniel Johnson (head)

Injured/unavailable: Djordje Mihailovic, Matt Polster, Michael de Leeuw (all knee); Luis Solignac (quadriceps)

Philadelphia Union

Suspended: None

Doubtful: None

Injured/unavailable: Richie Marquez (hernia surgery), Josh Yaro (concussion)

The Chicago Fire's unbeaten league streak was ended at five games on two wins and three draws after falling 3-2 in Vancouver last Saturday. The Vancouver Whitecaps took the lead after 28 minutes and Nemanja Nikolic scored his eighth of the year to level things three minutes before half time. Vancouver retook the lead two minutes after the break and made it 3-1 in the 72nd minute. Tony Tchani then made it close for the Fire with nine minutes remaining but they couldn't find an equalizer. Chicago has six wins, five draws and eight defeats in 2018 and their 23 points places them seventh in the East. They also have nine wins, six draws and 11 losses in their last 26 MLS outings, with four wins, two draws and four defeats at home this season.

The Philadelphia Union were humbled 2-0 at home by league-leading Atlanta Utd last weekend for their second straight loss and fourth defeat in the past five MLS outings. The Union allowed goals in the 58th and 76th minutes with the first marker coming on a penalty kick. Philadelphia remains at 21 points on the season from six wins, three draws and nine losses and are in eighth place in the Eastern Conference. They have nine wins in their last 23 league games along with 11 losses and three draws and have a win, a draw and six losses away from home this season.

Chicago has lost just once in their past six games and should be able to beat a struggling Union side at home.

The Chicago Fire and the Philadelphia Union have combined for 30 goals in their last seven MLS meetings for an average of 4.3 goals per game. I'm expecting this game to be relatively high-scoring as well.

The teams met on May 31st with the Union winning 3-1 at home. They also won 3-1 at home last season while the Chicago Fire won their home fixture 3-2. Each team has three wins and three losses in the last six league encounters.
