Chicago Fire has listed Andre Reynolds II, Raheem Edwards and Fabian Herbers as injured and Marcelo dos Santos Ferreira as questionable.

The New England Revolution is expecting to be without Isaac Angking.

The Chicago Fire visited Los Angeles FC in the league last weekend and although they left with only a point after a 0-0 draw they went home with a moral victory by holding the league's top team off the scoresheet on their own turf. Goalkeeper David Ousted earned the clean sheet for the Fire, but the team has now failed to score in their last three league games, which have all come on the road. On the bright side, they have allowed just two goals in those three league matches. Chicago now has ten points from two wins, four draws and four defeats in league action. They have played well enough at home with two victories, a pair of draws and only one defeat with nine goals for and seven against.

The New England Revolution were trounced 6-1 in Philadelphia in the league last weekend and have now allowed ten goals in their last two league games while being outscored 25-11 on the season. New England looked fine in the first half as they were level 1-1 after 45 minutes thanks to a goal from Juan Fernando Caicedo, but the wheels fell off in the second stanza as they conceded five straight goals in the span of 41 minutes. New England remains in the cellar of the Eastern Conference with eight points from two wins, two draws and seven loses. They visit Chicago this week and are winless on the road with two draws and three defeats while being outscored 15-8.

With the New England Revolution being winless on the road this year and conceding 15 goals I'm going with a Chicago Fire victory.

The New England Revolution has held the lead just once at half time in 11 league games. I am expecting them to trail after 45 minutes.

The teams drew 2-2 in New England and 1-1 in Chicago in the league in 2018. The Chicago Fire has four wins, two draws and two defeats in the last eight league meetings.
