Cerezo have nothing new to report on the injury front with just Ken Tokura (out for the season) and Toshiyuki Takagi missing.

Frontale see no improvement in their injured quartet while Manabu Saito had to leave the field before half time last weekend and we await diagnosis on him. He should be considered doubtful.

Cerezo were far out-shot by their hosts but took a comfortable 2-0 away win against Jubilo Iwata in the end last weekend in J1. Goals came from Yusuke Maruhashi and Kota Mizunuma before half time. They had a couple of league defeats in early August but have come back with two away league wins now and look over their problems but overall, in the last month have been inconsistent. They might struggle against an in-form opposition, but today's visitors are also inconsistent. An interesting game ahead,

Goals from Leandro Damiao and Yu Kobayashi were enough only for a 2-2 home draw against Shimizu S-Pulse last weekend in J1. After looking likely to rise to challenge for the top spot in J1 a month ago, they have gone five games without a win and are eight points adrift of FC Tokyo now. But Frontale have been here before, and are two-time reigning champions. They have the experience and the fight to put it right and make a run of good games when it matters. And now is when it really matters.

Current form would give Cerezo the win but Frontale's two recent league draws could easily have been wins and they will have much to prove, and also know that they must start their run towards the top spot now if they are to have a chance of becoming champions three times running. Highly motivated, their experience will win through for the away win.

Just six of Cerezo's 24 league games this season have seen more than two goals in total. Frontale have seen nine clean sheets this year while they have scored more than two goals only five times. A 0-1 or 0-2 is likely.

In J1 matches between these two teams last season Cerezo won both matches, while earlier this season we saw a 1-1 draw in Kawasaki.
