Brann played away against league leaders Molde in their last league match, drawing 1-1 and extending their unbeaten streak to three league matches (one win, two draws). The side have picked up 11 points from seven home league matches this season, but they had 14 points from the same amount of home league games played last season, meaning they are currently one win behind. The team did in fact register only two home league defeats in 2018 - but they have already lost just as often in front of their own fans in league action this year, winning three and drawing two at home so far this season.

Mjondalen hosted Viking in a fairly one-sided league clash at the Costco Arena last time out. The hosts fell behind to a stunning Samuel Kari Fridjonsson strike in the 38th minute, but Alfred Scriven levelled things up with a second-half strike against the run of play. It turned out to be enough for the home side to take one point from the league game. Mjondalen have now failed to win any of their last seven league matches (four draws, three losses) and as a result, they have slipped to 14th place in the table. On the road, Mjondalen have won just once in 2019 in league action (two draws, three losses), a worrying statistic as they travel to Bergen.

Brann will be eager to snatch all three points here - and given the visitors’ bad record on the road, they will see this as the perfect opportunity to move closer to the top three. I am going with a home win here.

Brann have scored first in their last three league matches and I think they will break the deadlock again here.

There have been no recent regular league meetings between these clubs.
