Norwegian Tippeligaen---Brann VS Lillestrom

Brann’s Fredrik Haugen and Ruben Kristiansen are marked as doubts with minor injury concerns. In addition, Ludcinio Emil Kalsaas is set to miss this league game with a more serious injury problem.

Lillestrom’s Thomas Olsen is a doubt because of injury while Erik Sandberg and Simen Kind Mikalsen definitely miss this league match. Sheriff Sinyan is suspended.

Suspended: None

Doubtful: Fredrik Haugen, Ruben Kristiansen (both groin)

Injured/unavailable: Ludcinio Emil Kalsaas (knee)

Suspended: Sheriff Sinyan

Doubtful: Thomas Olsen (unspecified)

Injured/unavailable: Erik Sandberg (knee), Simen Kind Mikalsen (unspecified)

The Brann players looked disappointed after their 1-1 away draw with Haugesund in their last league game. Dominant defender Vito Wormgoor had given the visitors a first-half lead as his side played composed football. However, the second half was an altogether different match, with the hosts the more dominant side after Sondre Tronstad scored a spectacular strike from outside of the area. Brann are now without a win in two games in the league (one draw, one loss) and have scored only one goal during that time.

Lillestrom lost their last league match 2-0 at home to a confident Viking side. Their chances of winning that game lessoned when they had Sheriff Sinyan sent off after 14 minutes. Lillestrom have won just once away from home in the league all season, drawing twice and losing twice. They have scored just ten goals so far in league action, and a visit to Bergen to play fourth-placed Brann will not be an ideal place to go to improve that record.

After last week’s league draw against Haugesund, Brann will be eager to collect all three points in this home fixture. The Bergen club are unbeaten in their last two home league fixtures against Lillestrom (one win, one draw) and I will predict a home win.

I think this league game will be a low-scoring affair as recent four league encounters between these sides have contained only two total goals.

Brann have only picked up two wins from their last six league meetings with Lillestrom, drawing two and losing two.
