Girondins de Bordeaux: Another win ( Recent Form: D W D D W )

In the first two league games this month, Girondins de Bordeaux tied 0-0 against Olympique Marseille and 1-1 against Stade Brestois and last weekend the team of Paulo Sousa finally managed to win again. A visit to PhD student Metz soon brought the Girondijnen 1-0 behind, but after that the team of Sousa played more than eighty minutes with a man more. In the remainder of the game, the Girondines dominated the game and by hits in the second half, Toma Basic and Remi Oudin managed to give their team a 2-1 win. In the first weeks of 2020, Benoît Costil made the necessary impression under the bar of the Girondijnen, but the last two games were the goalkeeper less solid. A week and a half ago, the Frenchman had little to do against Stade Brestois, but he was passed by teammate Loris Benito and he again had few goals against Metz, but had to swallow another goal. Nevertheless, Costil does not seem to have to worry about his base spot, he has only missed three league games since the start of the 2017-2018 season. Moreover, his competitor under the bar, Gaëtan Poussin, has stagnated somewhat in his development in recent years, so Costil also seems to be under the bar against Dijon.

Dijon: Hard defeat in the Coupe de France ( Recent Form: D W L D L )

Last weekend Dijon played in a spectacular game, in which Stéphane Jobard's team lost a lead three times, with 3-3 draws against Nantes and also against Paris Saint-Germain there were again the necessary hits last Wednesday. In-house, Dijon lost in the quarter-finals of the Coupe de France, partly due to two goals of his own with no less than 6-1 from the Parisians, which means that the focus of the team from the mustard city can again be on the Ligue 1 for the rest of the season. In view of the fact that Dijon saw competitor Nîmes Olympique approaching sharply in the last few weeks, that does not seem unwise for Jobard and his team, as the lead over the relegation line is now only a point. Only five teams in the Ligue 1 managed to win fewer than two of their away games in the season, and that includes Dijon. Only on a visit to Stade Reims the team from the mustard city managed to grab three points, but after that Dijon only managed to grab two points from the last eight away games. The defense in particular often has a hard time in the away games and so far this has resulted in only one away game without a hit this season. In recent weeks, Dijon has also shown that he can score himself, so the team from the mustard city seems to have everything in their own hands.

THE BETTING VERDICT:

After all, Dijon is simply performing dramatically in away games this season and has demonstrated several times last season to be particularly weak on a defensive level. Girondins de Bordeaux, on the other hand, has been playing better and better the last matches, so the value for this match lies in my opinion with a win from the home team.
