Avispa report no injury concerns. Riki Matsuda is suspended for one game.

Gifu are still suffering four quite long-term injuries.

Despite goals from Takayuki Morimoto and Riki Matsuda, Avispa went down 4-2 at home to Renofa Yamaguchi last weekend in J2. They now have just four league wins all season – all against teams currently in the bottom half of J2 and this game is a real six-pointer for me. A loss will drag then to within two points of the bottom of the table and away from safety. A win will see them consign their opponents to even more problems. They do have two draws in their last three home league games, against better opposition than FC Gifu.

Gifu opened the scoring against Tokyo Verdy last weekend in J2, through Yuya Yamagishi but conceded two goals later to go down 2-1 in the end. The loss sent them to eight league games lost in-a-row and they look in great danger of relegation. This is the game that can pull them closer to safety or consign them to probably relegation. I've seen no improvement with a new manager last week.

Avispa might be a poor side, but they are better than Gifu who have won just four of the last 42 points available. Recent Avispa home draws against high-flying teams will also encourage them and give us a home win.

Avispa have scored first eight times in 20 league games and have five goals in the first 20 minutes of games. Gifu have not scored once in the first 20 minutes of games.

In J2 matches between these two teams last season Avispa won at home and drew away.
