MATCH PREVIEW

MAIN PREDICTION: DRAW

Atlanta Utd edged the Montreal Impact 2-1 at home in the league last weekend and then headed north to take on the Chicago Fire in midweek. They left the Windy City with a 5-1 league loss and now have 29 points in the league this season from a possible 54 points. They have five losses, nine wins and no draw in their past 14 league contests and appear to be in decent shape concerning the playoffs in the Eastern Conference. The side has won six in a row at home in league action.

The New York Red Bulls downed the visiting Chicago Fire 3-1 at home in league action last weekend and then took their show on the road with a stop in Texas where they took on the Houston Dynamo in midweek, they left Houston with a 4-0 league loss and now have 27 points on the year. They also look to be in pretty good shape as far as the Eastern playoffs go and arrive in Atlanta with an away league record of two wins, two draws and four defeats with ten goals for and 13 against.

The New York Red Bulls have had Atlanta Utd's number since they entered the league and have never lost to them in five regular league encounters (four wins, one draw). I don't think Atlanta will lose this league game though, so I am going with a draw.

SECOND PREDICTION: HILO – LOW

The teams have met seven times before in the league and playoffs and have averaged just two total goals per match. I expect fewer than three total goals in this league game, too.

HEAD TO HEAD

The New York Red Bulls won 1-0 at home in May and 2-0 at home and 3-1 away in league action last season. They also met in the 2018 playoffs with the Red Bulls 1-0 victors at home and Atlanta Utd winning their home league encounter 3-0.
