MATCH PREVIEW
MAIN PREDICTION: HOME WIN

Albirex were held 2-2 away at Renofa Yamaguchi last weekend in J2, with two goals from Leonardo in a game that really should not have happened due to so much water being on the field. They now have four victories in their last seven league matches after four losses in a row in J2. Their improvement has seen three victories against teams at the bottom of J2 but they also took out Omiya Ardija recently and should be able to continue to add points to their campaign.

Ryukyu went down 3-1 away at Mito HollyHock last weekend in J2. Their only goal came from Kosuke Masatani. They have just one win in their last eight league games and have been suffering away from home in particular, where they have lost seven out of the last nine away matches. After briefly hitting the top of J2 after an excellent start to the season, they have sunk to 14th place, just eight points away from relegation. Their 33 goals scored is one of the best attacks in J2 but their 35 goals conceded is 4th-worst in the division.

I see little chance that Ryukyu can turn around their away form against a host team that is on a decent run and confident. It's a home win.

SECOND PREDICTION: HILO - HIGH

Albirex's 23 league games have seen 63 goals – almost three per game on average, while Ryukyu games have seen 68 – almost exactly three-a-game. This will not be a 0-0, expect goals at both ends.

HEAD TO HEAD

These two teams met for the first time in league play earlier this season, when Ryukyu won 2-1 at home.
