Ehime added Makito Yoshida to their injury list with a dislocated/broken foot joint. He is not expected to return before the end of the season. Makoto Rindo is also still out.

Hiroyuki Komoto scored and was then carried off not long after last weekend. He should be considered doubtful. Ardija then have another five still injured.

Ehime were 2-0 up at Kagoshima United FC last weekend in J2, on goals from Shion Niwa and Hideyuki Nozawa, before going down 4-2. They had won three league games running before last weekend and looked to be going for another before a total collapse late in the game. This may well be the end of their improvement and, since they have an eight point gap from the bottom two now, they may well feel less urgency in matches. They will get more wins in the final games of the season, against the teams below them, but will struggle to get anything from Ardija.

Ardija won 2-1 at home to JEF United Chiba last weekend in J2. Both goals coming from defenders – Hiroyuki Komoto and Ryo Okui. They have now lost just league four games all season and only two of those in their last 24. Their key change has been that, after seven draws in 10 league matches, they have upped the ante and have just one draw in their last seven as they start to win more as the season hots up. Their improved run is coming at just the right time and their confidence is growing and their squad is experienced enough to be able to rotate in and out to cover losses through injury.

Ehime lost their momentum last week while Ardija are right in the groove and should take the points here with ease.

Ardija get going in the 2nd half and have 20 of their season goals in the last half an hour. They have been level at the break 17 times in their 28 league games this season! They have gone on to win eight of those 17 half time draws.

In J2 matches between these two teams last season Ardija won away and drew at home, while Ardija won 2-1 at home earlier this year.
