Valencia: Is already under pressure ( Recent Form: L W D D L )

Although the season has only just begun, the pressure is already increasing at Valencia. After two rounds of play, the team from the orange city managed to gather at a meager point, and so soon threatens to lose its connection with the Spanish subtop. The home game against Real Mallorca must therefore yield three points anyway. The current Valencia shows many similarities with last year's Valencia in the first half of the season. Los Che spoils chance for chance, and makes too many crucial mistakes in the back. If we include the friendly games against Brighton, Bayer Leverkusen and Inter, Valencia has already given away a penalty five consecutive games. According to summer addition Jasper Cillessen, fans don't have to worry: "We are only two games on the way, the victories will follow." Still, it does mess around within the club. Owner Peter Lim and technical director Mateu Alemany totally disagree about the transfer policy to be pursued, and star player Rodrigo Moreno wants to leave the Mestalla today rather than tomorrow. The atmosphere in the dressing room of Valencia is therefore not good.

Real Mallorca: Poor in away matches ( Recent Form: D D L W L )

Real Mallorca experienced a glorious return at the highest level by triumphing 2-1 against Eibar in the first round of play in its own Son Moix, but last week Real Sociedad on the Spanish island proved to be narrowly 0-1. However, this weekend, Los Bermellones are preparing for their first away game of the season. The fans of Real Mallorca hold their hearts, because the red shirts usually have a hard time on the Spanish mainland. Last season, despite being promoted, the team in the Segunda Division won only four of its 21 away games, so that doesn't promise much good for the upcoming season in La Liga. On the other hand, trainer Vicente Moreno welcomed some new interesting players this summer. For example, the Japanese prodigy Takefusa Kubo could make his debut this weekend, although the Real Madrid mercenary is likely to start on the couch.

After all, Valencia and Mallorca have faced each other many times. And their performance is quite balanced when each team won 2, drew 2 in the last 6 matches. Valencia is having a very disappointing start to this season. Meeting Mallorca in the next round 3, the bats have not yet been able to find the joy of victory.
