MATCH PREVIEW

MAIN PREDICTION: HOME WIN

Reading looked dead and buried as they headed into the final ten minutes against Wigan 1-0 down, but a late George Puscas hat-trick saw Saturday’s hosts walk away from the DW Stadium with all three points. The home side have now won four and drew one of their seven league games under Mark Bowen and were unlucky not to pick up points in the other two.

Birmingham equalised with just 11 minutes remaining last weekend against an in-form Millwall side to confirm a third consecutive draw in the league. Pep Clotet’s men travel to Berkshire having failed to win any of their last five Championship games and have therefore slipped six points off the pace in the top six race.

Mark Bowen has transformed this Reading side and I fully expect the hosts to walk away with all three points here.

SECOND PREDICTION: HILO – LOW

Two of Reading’s last three league games and each of Birmingham’s last four have produced under 2.5 total goals ahead of Saturday’s clash and I’m predicting another low-scoring affair this time out.

HEAD TO HEAD

Reading are winless in their last three league matches against Birmingham.
