Since they got out of the Copa Libertadores, Gremio showed some improvement and come from three consecutive wins – two of them after the continental cup upset. Now they come from a 2-0 home win against their main rivals Internacional and that could’ve had a much higher score because Gremio were dominant during the entire game.

 

With that win they’ve consolidated themselves inside the Top-6  and now they want to finish the year placed amongst the best four teams and luckily for them they have to face a weak club such as CS Alagoano.

 

The visitors scored only 20 times in their Brasileiro games so far and have been struggling to escape from the relegation zone, and even though they’ve improved recently they lost their last six away matches (one of the matches played on neutral groud) and now that they will play against one of the strongest hosts in Brazil, CS Alagoano won’t stand a chance, which is why Gremio will get the win.

CS Alagoano scored in only one of their last five away matches in the league and now they face a team that’s known for having good defensive systems, and even though they’ve scored 31 times in the first 30 rounds, they kept a clean sheet in two of their last three matches and it should happen again now that they will face one of the weakest attacks in the Brasileiro, which will give Gremio a good opportunity of being the first team to score.
