Sporting Kansas City expects Jaylin Lindsey, Cameron Duke and Rodney Wallace to miss the game with Botond Barath and Krisztian Nemeth as questionable and Benny Feilhaber is suspended.

Real Salt Lake will be missing Jordan Allen and Sam Johnson while Everton Luiz and manager Mike Petke are suspended.

Sporting Kansas City

Suspended: Benny Feilhaber

Doubtful: Botond Barath (back), Krisztian Nemeth (abdominal)

Injured/unavailable: Jaylin Lindsey (knee); Rodney Wallace (hip), Cameron Duke (hamstring)

Real Salt Lake

Suspended: Everton Luiz, Mike Petke (manager)

Doubtful: None

Injured/unavailable: Jordan Allen (knee), Sam Johnson (quadriceps)

Sporting Kansas City upset the Sounders 3-2 in Seattle last weekend to halt a two-game league losing streak. Felipe Gutierrez scored in the 12th and 33rd minutes for a 2-0 half time lead and Erik Hurtado made it 3-1 in the 58th. Seattle tried to come back with a goal in the 82nd minute but Sporting hung on. They have three wins and two losses in the last five league games but have won just five of the past 19 with eight losses and six draws. They now have 28 points but stay in tenth place in the West.

After two straight league draws, Real Salt Lake took all three points last weekend with a 3-1 home win over New York City They fell behind after just four minutes but man of the match Jefferson Savarino, Albert Rusnak and Nick Besler scored in the 37th, 75th and 88th minutes for the victory. Real is in pretty good form with seven wins, three draws and three losses in their past 13 league contests. This includes two wins and two draws in the past four. They have 34 points and sit in sixth place in the West, just three ahead of eighth-place Portland and four in front of ninth-best Houston.

Real has won two of 12 away league games with three draws and seven losses while Sporting has a mediocre four wins, three draws and four losses at home. I expect them to draw.

55% of Sporting's home league games and 58% of Real's away games have featured at least three goals. I believe this showdown will also see a minimum of three goals.

The teams met at the end of June with Real Salt Lake winning 2-0 at home. Sporting Kansas has just one win in the last 6 league meetings with three losses and two draws.
