MATCH PREVIEW
MAIN PREDICTION: HOME WIN

Bristol City are making a pig’s ear of their promotion push as they have picked up just three Championship wins in 2018. Since beating Ipswich 1-0 at Portman Road back in mid-March, the Robins have managed to take only one point from the last nine on offer and lost 2-0 at Millwall in their last league outing. Although City are not out of playoff contention just yet, Lee Johnson’s men have slipped down to eighth.
Birmingham’s form has improved drastically since Garry Monk inherited the managerial reigns at St Andrew’s. After losing seven in a row, the Blues have now won three and drawn one of their last four to lift themselves out of the relegation zone. Having scored late to rescue a point against Burton Albion last weekend, Birmingham have kept their unbeaten run going.
This is a massive fixture for both teams for completely different reasons. However, I believe that home advantage could be the deciding factor on Tuesday. I’m backing a Bristol City win here.

SECOND PREDICTION: FIRST TEAM TO SCORE – BRISTOL CITY

Bristol City have scored the opening goal at Ashton Gate in two of their past three. Put some money on Bristol to score first against Birmingham in midweek.

HEAD TO HEAD
Bristol City have not beaten Birmingham since 1993, 15 meetings ago.
